MYOPIA MANAGEMENT
Do you worry about your child's eyesight getting worse every year? Increased levels of myopia are associated with increased risk of retinal detachments, glaucoma, and early cataracts. Myopia management is a non-surgical, non-invasive approach to controlling the progression of myopia, also known as nearsightedness.
Our clinic offers a variety of myopia management options, including atropine eye drops, special multifocal contact lenses, and (soon) orthokeratology. These treatments work by slowing the elongation of the eye, which is the main cause of myopia progression.

Our team of experienced optometrists will you choose the best myopia management solution for your family's specific needs. We use the latest technology and techniques to ensure the most effective and comfortable treatment possible.
Don't let myopia control your child's life. Take control with myopia management.

01
MM SOFT CONTACT LENSES
Myopia management soft contact lenses are worn during waking hours and work by providing clear central vision with additional optical power in the peripheral areas of the lens. This peripheral defocus can reduce the rate of progression of myopia by as much as 50%.
02
ATROPINE THERAPY
Using eye drops containing a low dose of atropine, this treatment is used to slow down the progression of myopia by restricting the eye's ability to over-focus and is the best option for children who cannot yet wear contact lenses. There can sometimes be pharmacological side effects such as light sensitivity and blur/trouble focusing at near. Atropine therapy can slow the rate of progression by 30-50% and can be a little more variable than other methods of myopia control

03
BIFOCAL/PROGRESSIVE GLASSES
Progressive/bifocal glasses work by providing additional optical power in the lower part of the lens for near vision. This helps relieve strain on the eyes during near tasks and can slow the rate of progression of myopia by as much as 24%.

ORTHOKERATOLOGY
AKA corneal reshaping therapy, is a type of myopia management that involves wearing specially designed gas-permeable contact lenses overnight to reshape the cornea. This reshaping process temporarily reduces or eliminates nearsightedness, allowing for clear vision during the day without the need for glasses or contact lenses and creates peripheral defocus, similar to myopia management soft contact lenses. The peripheral defocus can reduce the rate of progression of myopia by as much as 50%
